Lailaw Taherzadeh is an Iranian-American artist best known for colorful illustrations of iconic comic heroines. Themes of love and politics are borrowed from content found in mass media, humane observations and personal reflections. Although at times, her illustrations can be dark, Lailaw exudes a contagious positivity and optimism that is evident in her art. Her reality is a world of disarming color and endless possibilities.
