impossibleoctopus on Apr 06 '07 for me, i've been drawing bigfoot ever since that story in giant robot- they had like 20 artist make illustrations of bigfoot.
i am a ripp off of that, they all infulenced me. this particular bigfoot color scheme is like biskups bigfoot, but i made sure when designing my version of it, that it has its own qualities and characteristics. the fact of the matter is bigfoot is a stupid illustrator trend right now and were all a part of it. so stop taking it so seriously. he doesnt even exist. . . probabaly |

impossibleoctopus on Apr 06 '07 yeh i wish only the 3 of us (biskup included) had any yeti types going on as to have it not be a trend..but mine is a yeticorn...it started as a doodle. then it developed over a few drawings in a few months to be what it is today.
and dispite this being the last of the b-boy yeticorn subs, this was the first one that i drew. impossible's style and my own are similar, but not the same, just as my style is similar to travis76 (but is actually as of late moving farther away from that style...too stagnant...good but not so fun). Impossible has been an influence as if late as has Mike Laughed's style (see Ping pong or die). again i say, of my part in this design, there was not even an homage to gama-go (though i love them so). |

josh's yeti is an homage to "yeti" in general, why no one asks if it's related to the snow beast on planet HOTH is beyond me...we like gama-go...we can draw like gama-go...but this is not an homage to gama-go...look at the "legend" yeticorn sub, you'll see that it is an homage to tim biskip. i will not retire the yeticorn, but i doubt he'll be printed here ever again... just as well, i have other things in store for him. |
