This is a textual representation of the classic emoticon of love, where the text forms a heart. The question mark adds an extra splash of colour and transforms the statement into a question. What is love?
Baby don't hurt me no more. |

Are you from Norway?
Because this looks exactly like one of the logos used by supporters of the Norwegian soccerteam "Vålerenga"... And if you have to ask, yeah, its quite familiar around here... LINK The resemblance is quite big... |

Thanks for votes and comments so far, everyone!
@knutta - nope, not from Norway. Hooray for heart-shaped text? Here's a gold+silver foil version, just for kicks! |

I came into this design with a negative outlook but, even in all it's cheesy glory, it's kinda adorable and executed well. 3

@machinadebella - Believe it or not, I didn't get it from him. I first created this design for my first derby at woot (entry page here). I remembered someone mentioning Mr. Matranga then, but it's been a while and I couldn't find the name again in the thread. I honestly hadn't heard of him when I originally created the design, and I still know nothing about him.
Is "What is love? Is this love?" seriously a quote from a song of his or something? I was only trying to summarize more concisely an explanation I'd written before: It can mean whatever you want it to mean. Maybe you like someone but don't know if it's love. Maybe you love someone, but don't know if they feel the same way. Maybe you just want to know what love is. Design wise, the question mark isn't needed to help with the shape - the phrase is a heart all by itself. But then it would have all been one colour as well - needed an extra kick. ;) |

And, um, sorry for the misunderstanding. ^^"
Going through that thread reminded me of another possible meaning for this design - it could be a message about polygamy... XD |

Thanks for the comments and votes everyone. 2.26 is respectable for a first entry, right? :)
I've got one more for JOT, pending approval. I'm not sure if all of my design choices were legal (superglow on dark colour? full-width design plus wrap-around?) so I'm hoping for the best. Keep your eyes open! |
About my design
Two colours on navy. I also think it would look spiffy with gold and silver foil on black, but there wouldn't be any real point to it other than to look cool.
This design was the first one I ever created and it is now my first ever submission to Threadless. :)
