I'd probably love it with more cards, more jettons (is that what they're called?^^) , like a big bunch of poker all over the shirt. Please try it once more as a critique!!

A fifth card just barely sticking underneath the 3 could be easily added. It wouldn't have to show a number.

I've seen this done on ffffound. I think it works better in the photo as it's much tighter. There could be a fifth card cropped out of shot and it draws your attention to the fact that it says LOVE. You don't have the full cards distracting people. A lot of people have missed that about this. That could work for subtlety, but perhaps it's a little too subtle.

I hate it when a good idea was thought of by someone else too. But the photo you referred to and my design are different enough I think this qualifies as original.
I could make the letters/number slightly bigger. Would that make the "LOVE" obvious enough? |

Well, GIMCA had a design a lot like yours, slightly different idea.
http://www.threadless.com/critique/30412/POKER And hamikinsteph had this one. http://www.twww.threadless.com/critique/4784/Cats_playing_Poker Although his has been done (sort of) all of those designs got a bad score and none of them were printed so you may not appeal to anyone. I think you need to put a bit more personality into your cards (check a book on cartooning out of the library - it might be really helpful.) The other thing you might think about is why do you have poker on your shirt? |
