Great idea, but the fence and house behind it draw attention away from the main subject, especially with so few colors. I think this would be much stronger with just the tree and the tires.

I totally agree. And maybe give the tree some depth. And perhaps a different color pallet? Personally, I'm just not going to wear a shirt that's only yellow and grey. |

stylistically it's a bit of a mishmash though, the house hasn't got any solid lines on it and the tree looks a bit scruffy compared to the fence and the tyres. definitely work on this some more and resub! consistancy! |

I love it! I would keep the fence, lose the house, and put it on a black tee...but the idea is very clever, funny, and ironic. I love taking thinks that usually bring images of fun and pleasure and tying them to darker images. Beautiful!

Great idea and seriously cool illustration! Okay, maybe you could make some small tweaks. Personally I don't think you need to lose the house and fence. My only beef is with the fence really. Right now it's slightly angled and it might be better straightened. I'm thinking it could use a other tone also...it blends into the tree a little. If you lose the fence you lose that tire peaking over it which adds a great touch to this image. Anyway I'm babbling, even in it's current state I'd buy it. One of the more originally and well executed ideas I've seen here so far. |

FRICKINAWESOME on May 07 '09 Yeah, get rid of the shadows or at get the sun setting behind them to elongate the shadow to make it more creepy looking and evocative of the feel of the scene. Love all the little details and actually dig it more than laser bread's take, which is saying a lot! Love the nosy neighbor as well peeking over the fence.
