Anyone who's ever worked in design or even web development would know about "Lorem Ipsum". It's not what it means, it's the context and history. Kind of an in-joke if you want to see it that way.

Matildaben is right on... it's about the "context and history" of the words, not the exact translation. So I think the actual concept remains pretty clear. Anyway, thanks for voting.

If it were my design, I'd have the pig saying, "Res ipsa loquitur" ("The thing speaks for itself"). Very cute, I'd wear one.
bay_ridah, i agree.
a friend of mine tooka a screen printing class, just so she could make a shirt with that 0n it. |
I like it! Maybe you should make the pig say "Veni, Vidi, Vici" (I came, I saw, I conquered). A conquering pig would make ME laugh at least.
ahhh no veni vidi vici...cliche cliche.
and holy crap to whomever quoted the aeneid. i freaking hated that godforsaken poem. glad i didn't take the AP exam. but i like this shirt. |
blinkmetoys, i'm glad that i'm not the only one who did that.
i like it but i don't know if it'd wear it. 4 anyways. |
I don't speak latin and I'm not a web designer. I don't see why the majority of people shouldn't be able to tell that "Lorem ipsum" is latin, so 5.
yeam isnt pig latin adding putting the first letter at the end and adding -ay? I guess Im just not getting the joke.
Use "Carpe diem" instead of Lorem Ipsum. Although, once I knew what lorem ipsum meant, it added a different layer to your shirt design.
5, no $ |
You freaks are missing the whole point of the shirt.... it's a Pig speaking Latin... if he was speaking PigLatin it wouldn't be as strong of a piece.
