The design made me think it was high on love. Maybe if the red heart was on the other end, and a 'hollow' heart on this end?

Sounds like me. I always say I'm running on E when I've got like no engery or I don't feel well or whatever. This also reminds me of how crappy by day as been.
But still ... I like it ... I want it. |

I would like some more shirt color options cause the black and the content of the design just screams emo : /
or maybe put the heart at the bottom and have "e" on one end and "f" on the other? i like the concept though

i think the heart definitely needs to be situated on the opposite side of the gauge, regardless of where the needle is set. it just makes sense that way.
I could position the needle in the middle and title it "half-a-tank" - then it wouldn't matter which side the heart was on. The message would change though.

I like the idea of having an outline of a heart on the left side and a full heart on the right. It makes the message more clear. I'm glad others agree.
i agree will most in that i think the heart needs to be on the other side or just somewhere else, a lot of cars have the fuel symbol just like above and to the left of the notches
You should put the heart in the middle of the gauge, like where they put the mph or rpm on the dials in cars. That way it shows that it's the "heart" gauge.

This reminds me of the Sims. I would love this if it was a little thought bubble with a cross through the loveheart alla Sims.
